COLUMBUS, OHIO, July 27, 2015 — WOSU Public Media received four Emmy® Awards Saturday evening from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The chapter presents the prestigious Emmy® Awards to television professionals in 13 markets from four states.

At the 51st Annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy® Awards Columbus Neighborhoods: Clintonville won for Documentary – Historical; the arts and culture weekly series, Broad & High, was recognized in the Magazine Program category for the second year in a row; a segment from the program profiling artist Dennis DeVendra won for Magazine Feature/Segment; and videographer Ryan Schlagbaum was honored with Technical Achievement for developing a time-lapse dolly system.

The WOSU Public Media original documentary, Columbus Neighborhoods: Clintonville is part of the Columbus Neighborhoods community outreach project originally developed to celebrate the city’s bicentennial with a focus on the rich cultural past of Columbus’ historic neighborhoods.

The program looks at how a city that dates back to Adena earthen mounds, has transitioned over the last 200 years from a farming community to an urban neighborhood. Major project support for Columbus Neighborhoods is provided by State Auto Insurance Companies, JPMorgan Chase, and the AEP Foundation.

The weekly magazine show, Broad & High, is the ultimate intersection of arts and culture in Columbus. Seen Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. on WOSU TV, Broad & High is a half-hour program that features segments of national interest, but focuses on the character and creativity of Columbus. Major funding for Broad & High is provided by the Greater Columbus Arts Council.

WOSU Public Media is a community-supported, noncommercial network of public radio and television stations, and digital services. To learn more, please visit wosu.org.
