Farrell Will Present a Talk and Book Signing for His New Publication on Retirement

COLUMBUS, OHIO, June 12, 2015 — Chris Farrell, senior economics contributor at Marketplace, the nationally syndicated business and economics program produced by American Public Media, heard on 89.7 NPR News, is coming to Columbus. A graduate of Stanford and the London School of Economics, he will be in town as part of WOSU Public Media’s new initiative Next Avenue CBus.

Farrell will be hosting a talk and book signing on Wednesday, June 24 at 7 p.m. at the Fawcett Center on Ohio State University’s campus where WOSU Public Media’s offices are located. The speaking engagement will focus on his latest publication Unretirement: How Baby Boomers Are Changing the Way We Think About Work, Community and the Good Life. Mike Thompson, 89.7 NPR News Programming Director and Host of Columbus on the Record, will moderate the evening and facilitate a Q&A for the audience. Tickets for the event are $20 and seating is limited, so register today.

Next Avenue CBus is WOSU Public Media’s local application of a PBS national initiative aimed at the 50+ generation. It is a website (wosu.org/nextavenuecbus), series of workshops, and community conversations where grown-ups keep growing.
