As you enter Mozart’s, you must pass by the impressive pastry case, and the house made ice creams.
The dining room is pleasant and warm, with tin ceilings and European coffee house decor, and the ambiance is relaxing; nearby is the large ballroom.
The emphasis is Austrian, but the food spans Central Europe, and Mozart’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with panache.
We went for lunch with friends, and greatly enjoyed Salzburg chicken strudel with mushroom sauce ($12.95); my favorite, the signature Weiner Schnitzel, breaded veal cutlet with buttered spatzle and ratatouille ($15.95); an excellent chicken paprikash with redskin mashed potatoes ($13.95); and roast pork loin sandwich with ham, pickles, honey mustard. Portions are large and everything is house made.
The breakfast menu includes an array of pastries, well priced under $3; there is quiche, savory strudels, omelets and other items starting at $5.49. Lunch includes six sandwiches from $9.95, including a side dish; and four salads, from $4.95. There are seven dinner specialties, bargain priced for the quality and portion size, from $13.95, including wiener schnitzel, chicken paprikash, beef strogonoff, and others. The wonderful pastries and ice creams are available to eat in or take away.
